Promised Rest Restaurant

The Promised Rest Restaurant, located on 9th Street well south of the Slaton Town Square, is one of the newer restaurants in the city, apparently taking the place of an older restaurant (Don Seby’s) that was perhaps a victim of the recent pandemic.

The new Restaurant, Promised Rest 4:11 is a faith-based business expanding and improving its menu. Their motto is “Food fit for your soul”.

The restaurant has a full breakfast menu and a variety of items, including burgers, hot dogs, soup, chicken fried steak, catfish, and nachos for lunch and dinner, including a selection of homemade fries.

In addition, they may have other items, not on the menu. For example, the day we were photographing, they had chicken and dumplings and chili, for example, and they also have a soup of the day

Notably, they are one of the few full-service restaurants in the city of Slaton with a drive-up window.  Ask for their takeout menu.
