Event Venues
Event Venues in Slaton consist of a variety of for-hire facilities as well as other facilities that host more or less specific events, usually of their own. Examples of the latter include, for example, the airport and air museum that hosts fly-ins and also an airshow each year. Others include the town square, where events such as Christmas on the Town Square take place, or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and its well-known annual Ocktoberfest.
Our focus here, however, is on for-hire event venues in Slaton, which include dedicated facilities such as Tin Top, the largest of such local venues, and the elegant Kessle Event Center. Both of these facilities have inside and outside areas for events, and Tin Top consists of two separate event venues.
There are also two venues with historical markers, including the Harvey House and the Mercy Retreat Center (formerly Mercy Hospital), both of which are part of larger non-event facilities.
Finally, there is the newest event venue of the Heirloom Flowers & Gifts, which is outside and relatively small, but perfect for many weddings.
The Harvey House is a Slaton institution with considerable character and a great place to hold most any meeting or event.
Tin Top is the largest event center with multiple buildings in Slaton with the capacity to hold indoor and outdoor events.
Heirloom Flowers has one of the newer event centers in Slaton located near the square in a decorated old lumber yard.
The Kessel Event Center has very elegant outdoor and indoor event spaces just off of the town square in Slaton.
Located on Division Street, The Mercy Center has a large area for events within a historical setting.
