Pitforks and Smokerings BBQ

Welcome to Pitforks and Smokerings BBQ in Slaton Texas. This is a barbeque joint. And not just any barbeque joint. It has recently become my favorite barbeque joint, and I love my barbeque. Being a good old West Texas boy, it’s one of my favorite obsessions, and it takes a lot to sway me from any former favorites. It may not look like much, but it’s down-home friendly and the BBQ is to die for, tender and full of smoked flavor, with hefty portions. One orders inside, and then sits either outside watching the traffic pass along highway 84 (take the last Slaton exit for 9th street if you’re heading to post, or the first one if heading to Lubbock), or inside in the renovated car bays of an old filling station. You will not be disappointed, but they are only open on Thursday through Saturday!

Plus it’s only a hop away from the historic Town Square heading north on 9th Street.
